Rock Dance Collective develops interdisciplinary performance at the intersection of movement, sculpture, and installation. Founded by artists with backgrounds in both choreography and visual art, the company approaches dance as a research-driven, collaborative practice. One that treats the body as both material and witness. Our work is rooted in collective inquiry and often explores themes of memory, gender, ecology, and place. Working across traditional and nontraditional spaces, we create performances that are sensory, spatially responsive, and conceptually rigorous. By integrating soft sculpture, physical architecture, and embodied action, we collapse the boundaries between visual and performing art. Whether presented in black box theaters or contemporary art institutions, Rock Dance Collective invites audiences into nuanced, durational experiences that foreground presence, process, and the complexity of being human.
